Grosgrain: ANOTHER SILHOUETTE MACHINE GIVEAWAY!!!!

Mama’s Holiday Wish List Meme

TodaysMama (link to: http://bit.ly/tmwishlist) and GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) are giving away a sleighful of gifts this holiday season and to enter I’m sharing this meme with you.

1. What is your holiday wish for your family?
My holiday wish is to have a safe and relaxing trip back home to see our families!

2. What is your Christmas morning tradition?
It usually starts out with sneaky kiddos scoping out the Christmas tree, then mommy and daddy waking up from the little squeeks they're making. Once mommy has coffee and the camera is ready to go, it's no holds barred and Christmas is on!! After the presents I make homemade cinnamon rolls and the kiddos play until it's time to make our rounds at families homes!

3. If you could ask Santa for one, completely decadent wish for yourself, what would it be?
Oh, sheesh, I rarely think about what I actually want for Christmas!! Probably would have to be Airline miles, to take the trips I'm dying to go on! Portland, Or, then off to Germany! Oh, I guess I'd have to ask for more time in the day then, too!

4. How do you make the holidays special without spending any money?
Our family loves to drive around and look at Christmas lights! We also always take advantage of the movies and shows on tv every year!! That's a nice time for us to forget about the hustle and bustle and relax together and focus on just us!

5. What games did you play with your family growing up?
As a kid, my family would have week long Monopoly games! We also loved Scrabble and Yatzee!!

6. What holiday tradition have you carried on from your own childhood?
Every holiday must have homemade noodles!! I couldn't imagine a year without them! It's something I remember distinctively from childhood and the fun in the kitchen while making them! Now I share that time with my own children! As a matter of fact, we're making them today!!

7. Where would you go for a Christmas-away-from-home trip?
I think as long as we're an Army family we'll be having a Christmas away from home trip each year! We will be going to FL to be with our immediate families! If I could choose a place, besides FL, though, it'd have to be Ruidoso, NM! It's beautiful!

8. Check out GameStop (link to: http://bit.ly/gamestop10) and tell us, what are the three top items on your GameStop Wish List this year
Oh, boy!! I don't think I even have to go to the website to write this list!! We already know that a Nintendo DSi, The Beatles Rockband and the new Michael Jackson: The Experience is a must have in our house this holiday season!!

so what if I'm the worlds worst blogerator.

catching up....

It's blazing hot up in this piece. Over 100 daily and no shade in site! We don't have central heat and air, only a swamp cooler. Total garbage. It blows out funky sticky air and it smells funny. puke.

I am holding off of school until the kiddos go back. I think it'd be scholarly suicide to start with 3 crazies running around all day long.

I love that my electric bills are no longer $450. We're paying around $50 a month now. sqweee to that!

I have been a thrifting fool! thrifty thrifty thrifty. I still need to sit down and figure out putting pics on here, I'd love to share my gems.

I have been on a redecorating kick lately, I'm bored of my crap. I want to add a couple new awesomes to make it all seem fresh again!

I am trying to keep the littles busy this summer. Logan is going on a trip through the CYS (children and youth services) for the Army in August. He'll be going to NM to camp and adventure. They also have councilors there and there will be classes on how to deal with deployed parents, what war can do to a person and homecomings. He's really excited. Luca is doing summer school, it's a whopping 2 wks long. wow! I have been scouring the net to find cheap/free activities we can all do for the couple months they're home. Most El Paso museums are free, check, early morning hiking, check, tons of fun stuff on post, including a summer reading program and some no cost week long camps, check check check!!!

I've been crazy busy lately with errands and appointments and phone calls. My head is spinning. I've had these awesome little tables in the garage waiting for some tlc that I'm dying to get to but don't have time. whaaaaaaaaaaaa... Soon, very soon, I'm taking a day off and cracking a bottle of wine and playing in the garage all day with my tools, sand paper and paint!!!

Lover face has a 2 week break coming up. We talked about taking a train (YAYAYAYA) to San Antonio and doing Sea World (FREEEEEEEE for us!), the zoo, some water parks... A real family vacay! Something we've never really done!! I'm excited like crazy!

I'm still hoping to make a trip to FL, too. We just can't figure out which way I should take to get there. Fly? youch. Drive, ughhhhhhhhhhh.... I'd hate to be there for 2 weeks without a car. But, driving for 28 hours with the 3 kiddos alone, barf! I just don't know, I just don't know.... Can my friends please just all come here? please????

I know there's more I wanted to write, but, I'm a little distracted by the sweat dripping out of my knee pit. yeah.

I will do my best to keep this up, maybe even pass out the link to more than my one bud, Cher! :)

Man, I'm so pooped, but, my thrifting itch is really getting to me, I might need to hit one up today. I just can't seem to get rid of it lately.

Ok, bye.

What a day!

My heart is still beating through my chest, even after the over excitement drained me of all energy, enough to sleep for two and a half hours after it happened.

Started my day like any other, got up, tidied the kitchen and let my pups out. I usually leave the back door, from the kitchen to back yard, open during the afternoon so the doggies can run in and out, and, for the breeze. I did that today.

After my morning chores, I laid down in my room, just not feeling great. At around 1:15 (give or take) my dogs start going CRAZY, not the someone's knocking on the door crazy, not the we're annoyed with each other and wrestling crazy, not the there's another dog outside our house crazy, just plain nuts!!!! I got a little nervous and jumped out of bed. It took no time for the crazy to get out of control with barking and growling and jumping around. I immediately went for my gun case. I locked my bedroom door, got it out and realized all my clips were empty.... SHIT!
With quaking hands, arms, body, I loaded a magazine faster than I thought I'd ever be able to and went back for my bedroom door.
That's when I heard Gracie crying, and, another dog hit the wall and start crying. I called out to them and rushed out of my room gun ready to fire.
There was noone there, but, a chair was knocked over and Chris's bike was missing. I checked my house, police style, nothing.
I didn't know what to do. I didn't know how to explain to an officer that because my dogs were barking someone was there. I locked everything up and waited.
About 45 minutes later there was loud banging at my back door.... WHAT THE FUCK!!!??!!? I flipped again! Grabbed my Glock and went in running, I wasn't playing. I was ready to cap a fool. This is my home and I WILL feel safe!
Well, this time it was Chris, who, may I add has NEVER come to the back door to get in. I was mad and glad and scared and relieved all in one. He thought I was nuts until I told him the story. Then, he was proud!
Around that time I had to leave to pick up my littles from school, as I walked I noticed an officer at a house about a block away. Can't help but wonder if it was related and I am indeed not just going crazy!

Oh heaven!

Who'd have thought that El Paso would be a thrifters dream!! I found some real gems today, hit up 3 stores off a four page list and each was brimming with treasure! I can't wait for more thrifting adventures!

pictures as soon as I figure that part out!

For Sale:

One Teenager.

He's smart, but, slowly turning into a smart ass.

He's handsome, but, now starting to realize it.

He's cool, but, thinks he's too cool.

He's giving, but, that's my shit he's giving away.

He's quiet, no, really, he won't speak.

He's creative, creatively figuring out how to get away with being a little turd.

I'll take any offers, heck, I have two other little ones I'll throw in as long as you take them before they turn into teenagers.

ugh.
